On your recommendation, I just took delivery of a Wallace collection, "A supposedly good thing...". I haven't dived in yet but it is next on my reading list.
Excellent. That's the first thing I ever read of his - specifically the essay of the same name in that book. I had ordered Infinite Jest, and while waiting for it, I found that piece published (originally) in Harpers. It's a great introduction to Wallace's idiomatic voice.
